Cranksgiving is one of my favorite events of the year and that is due to the diverse turn-out of riders. Whether it's a cruiser, track, tall, and even tandem bike - the occasion brings the cycling community together for a great cause. The beauty of it is that you decide on the difficulty of the ride and, foremost, set the pace. I, for one, am neither a racer nor an advocate of reckless cycling. However, there is something about Cranksgiving that tends to bring out my competitive spirit and go for it. I teamed up with Caleb Olson, best known for his bike journey across America (Bike Cruisade). This would be my 2nd participation of the event, so I decided to give you an inside look to not just a Cranksgiving, but also the feel of an Alley Cat and the adrenaline of riding in NYC.
