Magic lenticular prints by Miron

Animation description:

If you go through the looking glass will you see a different world or will you see the world in a new way?
Through the looking glass is a series of spectacular animations by MiRon. As a series they seem to function as a gateway to an alternate hyper-active and hyper-colorful reality. With every GIF you get sucked deeper into the screen, your mind seems to go into a trance and as in a vision strange creatures appear in endless space on the other side. 'Through the looking glass' is an ambitious experiment to alter your consciousness through art and make you experience reality with a higher level of energy and color and wonder.
For the first time the animations of MiRon come out of the screen into the real world, but that does not mean they stop moving, or lose their seductive suction. They are made using Lenticular printing: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenticularprinting a technology in which lenticular lenses (a technology that is also used for 3D displays) are used to produce printed images with an illusion of depth, or the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles. The prints are approximately A4, and each one is unique! Only one will be made for every GIF in this edition. The video above shows some examples of prints from the series.
The series is available as a limited edition of 100 from The File Arts. thefilearts.com/art/edition/through
thelookingglass The edition consists of both a physical lenticular print and an electronic download. The edition download contains 100 different animated GIFs at full HD resolution. The physical print is a lenticular print that is unique as only 1 will be printed of every GIF in the set.
The edition is limited and numbered to 100; you can find more information about the edition and purchase it on thefilearts.com. thefilearts.com/art/edition/throughthelooking_glass
